Yeah, I suppose having them tangled is the problem and not so much bare.
One of my other concerns is if the split tubing or soft conduit is rated for fiber or if even it needs to be rated for fiber?
I am not even sure if there is a Rating for fiber... it either fits your cable or it doesn't. If you want to keep them untangled I would recommend a basket system rather thana conduit. Troubleshooting or replacing cables from within a conduit is a pain in the butt.
